Timeline of the Old Testament

This timeline offers 28 different events from the Old Testament focusing mostly on the first few books of the Bible. Originally created as a companion resource to the Old Testament portion of CHILD'S BIBLE HISTORY by F.J. Knecht, the book does not need to be used to appreciate this resource. This timeline is not only very useful for homeschoolers, but it is also perfect for religious education classes, CCD classes or Bible study use. As an extra help, scripture passages have been included on each of the pieces, and the instruction file includes a scripture reference sheet as well. Events included in this unit: The Seven Days of Creation The Creation and Fall of the Angels The Creation of Our First Parents and Paradise The Fall of Adam and Eve (Original Sin) Adam and Eve Are Banished; the Promise of a Saviour Cain and Abel Noah Builds the Ark The Flood Noah’s Offering and the New Covenant Abraham, Canaan, and His Covenant with God Abraham Is Called to Sacrifice His Son Isaac Joseph and His Brothers Joseph Is Sold into Slavery by His Brothers Joseph in the Home of Putiphar Joseph in Prison; God Is with Him Joseph Is Exalted Jacob’s Sons Go to Egypt Benjamin Journeys to Egypt Joseph Reveals Himself to His Brothers Jacob Journeys to Egypt Moses Is Born Moses and the Burning Bush The Ten Plagues of Egypt Passover The Parting and Crossing of the Red Sea The Miracles in the Desert God Gives Moses the Ten Commandments Entering the Promised Land, the Jews, Sin Takes Hold Instructions: Cut out pieces to construct the timeline and assemble according to the instructions. Cut out the individual timeline pieces. Place the pieces on the timeline in the order that they occur. There will be three pieces to a line. Bible passages have been provided to help older learners focus on the scripture study itself. Learners may really enjoy this feature and could work on this resource independently using the Bible and our corresponding notebooking pages. Features:
